The 19 Smithsonian museums include: The Castle, National Archives Museum, National Museum of Natural History, National Air & Space Museum, National American History Museum, National American Indian Museum, National Gallery of Art, National Portrait Gallery, National Postal Museum, National Museum of African Art, the Hirschhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Anacostia Community Museum, Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Arts and Industries Building, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Freer Gallery of Art, Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Smithsonian Institution Building.

Museum Locations

The Washington DC museums are located on either side of the National Mall. You will also find plenty of public transportation between museums located in other neighborhoods, including Chinatown and Union Station.
